Mission

We at Feeding Mouths believe that every individual, regardless of circumstance, must have access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food.

The Need

Daily wage workers travel miles from their homes to earn money for survival. Many female construction site workers suffer from malnutrition because they travel miles to come to work, and immediately after their shift gets over, they head back home to cook food for their family, often eating last and not enough. They have long days of laborious work and insufficient nourishment in their bodies.

Hunger and Malnutrition amongst daily wage workers:

Lack of access to nutritious meals.

Malnourishment causes health issues, reducing productivity.

Health and Wellbeing:

Poor nutrition leads to fatigue and illness.

Affects growth and cognitive development.

Has adverse health effects on the female body

Economic Instability:

Hunger perpetuates poverty.

Social Inequality:

Widens the gap between rich and poor.

Nutritious meals promote social equity.

This service offers them essential nourishment, enabling better health and energy for their daily tasks.

  • Providing a free nutritious meal a day for the construction site workers

  • Nutritious food required for physical labor

  • Clean, hygienic food

  • Food available in good quantity

  • Collaborating with Annamrita Kolkata to provide these services

  • Providing clean water, which is of extreme importance in India’s hot and humid weather

  • Preventing sicknesses like dehydration and malnourishment

  • Making a woman’s life easier

  • Supporting their children who come with them to the site
